The Process
• The first step, Click onto the Contact page of this site and fill out a brief summary of what you're looking to have done. After which you & I will have a consultation meeting (usually by email), during this we will conceptualize and brainstorm your idea. After all the details are decided and agreed upon, an estimate is given.
•After the initial payment provided, I will begin with a loose draft of your art or graphics. During these primary sketch(es) I will focus on the general layout, form, & the proportions. Your communication & straightforwardness is most important. This is the part where you get to be picky.
• After the first draft is approved by the customer, (depending on the complexity of the order &/or deadline) I will make the changes or send additional drafts for your approval or change.
• Additional drafts at this point should be simple tweaks & color changes. Major changes are limited. A change of direction (depending on the magnitude or the deviation or the original concept; e.g. You originally ask me to draw a rabbit, I draw a rabbit, you approve it, I finish the rabbit, then ask me to draw a bulldozer instead) at this point additional hours may be applied to the original quote.
• This is not always the case, & each job has it's own special needs.
Boil it all down, we will be communicating directly back & forth until we have a finished project that you will love.
Payment
A refundable down payment of half of your original invoice is required for orders over $100. Orders that are $100 or less must be paid in full before project is started. If the customer is not satisfied by the second draft (if any) a full refund is available. If an order is cancelled during production, customer forfeits their initial payment, & depending on the hours accrued at the point of cancellation a partial refund is given.
If a rush order fails to be completed by the definite deadline, a full refund is given. Additional charges may apply due to any changes of direction or rush orders.
Paypal is accepted/preferred
What will I receive with my order?
You will receive the original working file(s) such as the vector art (illustrator) or Hi-res print file (Photoshop). I will accommodate most all requests such as file formats, sizes after completion. The graphics/art is yours to print, sell, & promote as you wish. K-Kreationz still maintains a copy with only the purpose of self promotion & your art may appear on the website. If you wish to have your art completely exclusive (customer owns all copyright(s)) additional charges may be applied.
Providing Art References
A lot of time will be saved if provided reference art such as magazines, websites, competitors ads, hand drawn sketches or any visuals to help you to pass your idea to me. This is highly recommend so we both are on the same page. Coming up with a concepts, researching & deciding on a direction is an important part. Brainstorming takes time. Conceptualizing ideas & bringing something from nothing is one my strengths & if given the freedom I will. Additional hours may be are added.
How long does this takes?
Most jobs can be finished within a two week turnaround. This all depends on revisions, communication, & how elaborate the art/graphics is requested.
Orders are given an estimated date after the first consultation.
Rush orders (a job that is needed within two weeks or less) are available with a 30% rush fee depending on the artist's schedule.
